Although we provide many types of appraisals, the most commonly requested are those for insurance purposes. We work closely with our customers to offer their clients state-of-the-art insurance appraisals on new and pre-worn jewelry. Most items can be appraised while our customers wait. During the examination, each piece of fine jewelry is examined thoroughly for condition, size, weight, shape, color and clarity characteristics with all details noted sufficiently to perform the appraisal. This involves photographing each diamond and gemstone and recording serial numbers with trademark or copyrights, hallmarks, etc., to show authenticity. The appraisal report includes a full description of each jewelry item, along with a digital image. Our clients can leave with their jewelry and, typically receive their report that day or within one or two business days.
